Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Strong mechatronics aptitude and interest required
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office 365 helpful
Hours during Year One (1) of the apprentice program are typically 8am – 5pm. During Year Two (2) of the apprentice program, apprentices will travel up to 90% of the time.
Schedules need to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer schedules. Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours including some weekends, as required. There may be a schedule requirement that consists of ten (10) consecutive scheduled days of work followed by four (4) scheduled days of rest and may commence on any day of the week.
Must be able to travel with little notice as customer demands require.
Learn and develop practical, hands-on skills related to installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining MULTIVAC equipment through participating in and completing classes and on-the-job training assignments.
Learn and develop soft skills such as communication, time management, teamwork, adaptability, and problem solving to drive positive interactions with colleagues and customers.
During year two (2) of the program, travel to assist senior technicians at customer sites with equipment installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
Upon completion of apprentice program, transition to Service Technician on boarding program to further train and prepare to assume the role of a MULTIVAC Service Technician.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Candidates must be located within commutable driving distance of our Kansas City headquarters for the duration of the apprentice training program.
